Default Need help against the elite hex mind freeze

Hey all you runners to droknar... are you annoyed because of them damn ice imps casting mind freeze on you all the time? well I am... I need a counter against it. I am a W/Mo so please help me find a counter spell against the hex. the hex remover dosnt make much sence because the spell only lasts 6 sec and get recasted once you removed it. I need a spell which stops them from casting it on you! Please help me!

Holy Veil will double the casting time of hexes. The only thing that will stop a hex is Hex Breaker (mesmer).

I think the only thing that could actually stop it with that set-up is Spell Breaker, but thats a Divine Favor skill, which means it wont be so effective as he is a warrior(no DF)

Holy Veil will only make it take longer to cast but wont stop it all together

so its kind of hard to counter it

Are you sure that Hex Breaker and Holy Veil work with Mind Freeze?
Because it is fundamentally not a hex and the hex only kicks in when you have less energy than the caster I have a feeling they don't.

Thats just stupid. No offense. If the hex actually does apply then obviously you can remove it with holy veil. Im tryin to understand how you cant see it but maybe its as late for you as it is for me.

you take out charge.

but since your secondary is monk...get a better elite than charge or spellbreaker, and use smite hex to remove the hex. its fast (1 sec casting) and efficient. you don't need to waste points in smite for it to work eighter. but if you got some spare points, put them in smite for a little extra damage. i think with 3 points you go to something like 40 damage.

worth a look.

but if you want them to completely stop from using it on you, then your only option is spell breaker, really. but the recharge is a bit annoying. its easy to capture tho, so its a good option.
good luck.

Bring smite hex or holy veil. Either cast holy veil when you're about to pass by the golems (you should be able to avoid all the imps, they're only in the first area and the patrols are predictable) and remove holy veil when they drop an ice hex on you. Or wait till the hex is cast on you then smite hex it. I suppose you could bring Purge Signet too, although if there's golems around, you'll probably have rust on, so it might not be the best idea.

Wait for all the ice imps or all the water ele foes. after they cast their hexes use smite hex and use sprint or charge. My friend once wanted to know how you pass them.

There's a much easier way to get around it than using silly spells.

ok,whoever said drop charge for spell breaker, obviously either has never done the run, cause last time i looked, monks dont have running skills, and you sorta need balanced stance, and you cant use that if ur also using sprint, and your going to just get rocked, and trust me ive tried,w/mes always have better skills then a monk, all you need is hex breaker,as one guy already said, and some other spells, its been a sinch with a w/mes then a w/mo,

My monk has running skills, Sprint and Rush.

And a W/Mo can throw on Spellbreaker with a 20% enchant mod, for that awesomeness of 6 seconds, which should be plenty of time to sprint away from the aggro.
